What we buy
We buy investment bars and coins of any brand, gold and silver jewellery, and silverware. The product does not need to have been bought from us. Condition matters less than you might think: for bullion, value lives in the fine metal content; for jewellery and silverware, we price the metal, not the craftsmanship — though intact assay packaging and certificates do earn bars and coins a better rate.
How the price is built
The formula is transparent: fine weight × current spot price − our margin. Fine weight is gross weight × purity, which is why an 8-gram 585 ring contains 4.68 grams of pure gold. Our buyback pages show reference per-gram values for every common purity, updated with the spot price, so you can estimate before you visit. The margin depends on the item: sealed LBMA bars command the narrowest, mixed jewellery the widest.
How purity is verified
Our specialists first read the hallmarks — the small stamped marks that state purity — then confirm by instrument. X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analysis reads the alloy's composition in seconds without damaging the piece; precision scales establish the weight. You watch the entire assessment, the figures are shown to you, and the offer is explained line by line. Nothing is melted, cut or tested destructively without your explicit agreement.
The process, start to finish
Describe your items through the buyback form for an indicative estimate, or come straight to an office. Bring a valid identity document — the law requires identification for every buyback transaction. After the assessment you receive a firm offer; accept it and payment follows immediately, in cash within statutory limits or by bank transfer. There is no obligation at any step: if the offer does not suit you, you take your items home.
